Volunteers with TEDxHonolulu because:

” TED talks and TEDsters are constantly making me think about new things or old things in a new way and well, they’re just so cool!!! Another big reason is because Genesis is one of the most genuine, talented and beautiful people (inside and out) I have ever met and I have learned and grown so much just in the small amount of time/work we’ve had together!!!”

So many—too hard to pick just one!!! Will go with one I was just reminded of…Susan Cain: “The Power of Introverts.” Mostly because it caused me to adjust my way of thinking as an extrovert and I love learning more about things I thought I knew about.

Volunteers with TEDxHonolulu because:

“I like to be around other smart, curious people, who seek to better themselves and learn about new things – even if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Although not all TEDx talks delve into great detail about various topics, it is a way to at least access those ideas and be aware of them. I also find TED and TEDx talks to be quite inspiring and it forces you to perceive things from a different perspective.”

In short, the former addresses how a person can turn problems into opportunities and the latter is about challenging scripts that people think they should abide by, when in fact creating your own life script contributes to a more meaningful life.
