The TEDxHonolulu Artist in Residence program integrates an artist into every aspect of the conference event, taking it into new creative territory…
2015 is TEDxHonolulu’s first year as part of the TEDx Artist In Residence (AIR) program, and we are thrilled to collaborate with Maui-based photographer and painter Shane Robinson. Shane’s graphic images will be integrated throughout the event including stage design and backdrops for our speakers.
Shane will add a new creative dimension to the TEDxHonolulu event. He will also speak about his work as it relates to this year’s theme of “Paradigm Shift.” We’re really excited to introduce TEDxHonolulu’s inaugural AIR program and to support Shane Robinson in sharing his story.
TEDx Artist in Residence programs focus on building relationships with local artists to create art installations that help set the tone for the primary TEDx event, communicate the event theme, and convey an idea worth spreading. Artists work with the planning team throughout the months leading up to the event to design and implement a large scale installation and prepare a TEDx Talk related to his or her art.
